Background

Dexamethasone intravitreal implant is recommended as an option for treating diabetic macular oedema if:
• it is used in an eye with an intraocular (pseudophakic) lens and
• the diabetic macular oedema does not respond to non corticosteroid treatment, or such treatment is unsuitable.
